Workshops are held in the Faculty Support Lab located in 204 Butler Library on the Morningside campus. During this workshop, you will learn how to use iTunes U and manage content within the system. Get the facts about Columbia on iTunes U, an online environment that delivers Columbia-produced educational content to students, faculty, and the public through Apple's iTunes desktop media player. This session will also demonstrate VITAL (Video Interactions for Teaching and Learning), a web-based video analysis system that helps students develop observation, interpretation, and critical thinking skills. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basics of Columbia's online course management system, CourseWorks-from logging in to setting up your syllabus and creating course pages.Ä®xplore free online video applications, such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Google Video, as well as how to host, share, or reference web-based video in your course websites or classrooms. Optional office hours with the instructor are offered through Zoom. Assignments are due regularly, but there are no required class meetings. During this workshop, you will learn how to create and edit pages in a course wiki and how to add text, pictures, and documents to meet your pedagogical goals. Online: Course content is delivered weekly through an online learning platform where you can engage with your instructor and classmates at your convenience.
